Chamber Music Jazz from Berlin

The Bob Spice Quartet combines the spontaneous expressiveness and vitality of jazz with the melodic richness and structural diversity of classical music.
Supported by a freely breathing and pulsating rhythm section of double bass and drums, trombone and saxophone create a multilayered and inventive mesh of moods and melodies.
The expressive, imaginative and original compositions by Robert Würz draw from a melodic foundation of contrapuntal lines and leave plenty of room for individual expression, spontaneous interaction and improvisation.
In 2019, the quartet was awarded the Studio Prize of the Berlin Senate.
